Sequim Deluxe Storage Shed

A little overkill on our part, perhaps, but we are the proud owners of a shed that can safely store anything with no worry about temperature, moisture or other weather-related damage. The exterior is a match to the garage and workshop that the shed supports. R & N Builders’ excavation and concrete subcontractor gave us a nice solid work area, matching their previous work at Ryan’s direction, and ensuring that we can walk all around our outbuildings without ever stepping off concrete. Despite the long list of specifications, this addition was completed on time and at reasonable cost. We are very excited to start our fourth major building project with Ryan and R & N Builders: a 2,000 square foot tractor and heavy equipment barn.

Ryan Jackson did an outstanding job for us. He walked us through exactly what we needed to do and who to contact to get our design drawn up and approved by Clallam County. As I see with other testimonials here, his estimate was thorough and covered everything that was needed to complete the project. His sub-contractors for the dirt work, cement and electrical, etc. were excellent and showed a real dedication to working with Ryan. Everything was completed in a very timely manner and within the estimated cost.

I’m most impressed with the precision and the quality of the work that was done for us. All dimensions are spot on where they should be and I don’t see a single protruding nail sticking thru the siding and into the interior of the building (very precise placement of the wall studs). Ryan also helped us with suggestions for adding a sky light and doing decorative trim on the outside of the building that really added to the functionality and character.

I highly recommend R & N Builders and would be happy to show others the work Ryan did for us.

Sequim Garage & Shops

We bought our Sequim house shortly after it was completed, but before a garage was even contemplated. R & N Builders did such a beautiful job on our horse barn that it was an easy decision to have them build our garage and workshop. The house itself is made with square logs, so we were concerned that anything we did would look tacked on. Ryan Jackson came to the rescue with a custom siding at reasonable cost that is a near-perfect match. Pictures elsewhere on this site attest to his attention to detail. Everything is square, plumb and level, with no unfilled seams or unsightly gaps. He also modified our porch, adding a 12-foot handicapped-accessible covered walkway to the garage. The garage is fully insulated and heated and the bay doors are quiet and weather tight. The insulated and heated workshop was finished in knotty pine, each board perfectly fitted into place. It is a joy to work in!

Sequim Horse Barn

We have been working with Ryan Jackson and R & N Builders since early 2014. Our first project with Ryan was a horse barn that we had envisioned and he helped us realize. It’s a 3-stall barn with a horse wash, half-bathroom, tack room, tool room, 8-foot overhang with outside lighting, skylights and a fully lined interior, insulated, with custom batting. Ryan provided a turnkey solution, managing all of the subcontractors, including concrete, gravel, plumbing/septic, garage doors and electrical work. The pictures elsewhere on this site show the custom stalls, which Ryan had fabricated by local welders to our specifications. The lady of the house and her horse could not be happier with their deluxe barn, and we were able to get everything done on time and within budget. Ryan also made time for several small projects along the way, including introducing us to the area so we could find the vendors and services that we would be needing a lot faster than if we had been left on our own. These are some of the reasons we are now on our fourth major project with R & N Builders.

Sequim Horse Barn

We have miniature horses and needed to have a small barn built for them, their feed and tack. We were referred to R & N Builders by a local handyman that we’d hired to fence our property. Because we live in a residential neighborhood with CC&R’s, we needed the barn to match our other buildings so it wouldn’t look out of place.

Port Angeles Ranch Home

We had Ryan Jackson, R&N builders, build our home for us in 2008-09. We could not have had a better experience. Ryan was professional but very personable at the same time. He let us know his every move from day to day, always asking for our input to make sure he was getting it just like we wanted. He and his sub contractors were always here when they said they would be and we were impressed how they would keep the building site cleaned up at all times. When there was a phase of the house we felt we could do, as a way to save us a bit of money, Ryan was more than willing to let us do it!

One of the aspects, of Ryan building for us, that we appreciated the most was the fact we were never hit with an expense that wasn’t included in our bid. There were never any hidden costs other than those few times when we decided to add or upgrade, but that was our choice.

It was always a pleasure working with him and we would have Ryan build us another home in a heartbeat. He truly delivered on his promise of a custom home, Nick and Jan DeScala

Port Angeles Ranch Home

To select an individual to construct my home I searched out owners of houses various contractors had built, asking their opinions, talked to the lumber yards where they obtained materials, various sub-contractor trades, made several, unannounced visits to where they were building a house, talked to helpers on site and conducted due diligence into all aspects of their performance as well as requesting recommendations for builders. There were several contractors well above the threshold of acceptable performance. However, Ryan Jackson stood out, all findings were positive.

Ryan Jackson is a highly skilled builder. He constructed my house as if it were his own. He personally constructed critical components and has experienced, highly skilled sub-contractors for specialized tasks like concrete and sheetrock installation. He stayed on schedule. I was provided a fixed price for labor and material with the provision if it cost more, he would pay for it and if less, I would pay less. The building site was kept clean with construction debris placed in an on site trailer and taken to the dump. I found him to be of high moral character, honest, paid his bills and hired help. He implemented requested changes without billing me and constantly made suggestions for lowering costs.

I found Ryan Jackson to be an exceptional builder and highly recommend him to anyone wanting a builder. He did what he said he would.

Blyn Ranch Home

Ryan Jackson framed, sheathed, sided and roofed our new custom retirement home near Blyn. Throughout the building process, we met with Ryan every day to discuss what he was doing and what decisions we faced in the coming days. Without his daily suggestions, we would have neglected to make some important decisions. Every inspector who came by and subcontractors who depend on a house being level and square said that they only see this quality of work from Ryan. Our home is well built with quality materials and done the right way. When Ryan builds a house for you, he wants you to be involved on a daily basis to ensure your total satisfaction. We love our new home and are confident that it is free from construction defects because Ryan Jackson built it.
